Nathan Gorga named Swinburne FC President
A new era begins off the pitch. Nathan Gorga takes over as President, and the club launches its new website to go with it.
Swinburne FCClub news
Nathan Gorga is the new President of Swinburne FC. He takes over from Thomas Burchsmith, who steps down after four years at the helm.
[Nathan’s story at the club: when he arrived, the teams he has played in, and the committee roles he has held before stepping up.]
"[Nathan on what the club means to him and his priorities for 2027.]"Nathan Gorga, President
[Nathan’s priorities for the year ahead, in his own words: the teams, volunteers, partners and the community around the club.]
A new home online
The presidency changes hands alongside another big step for the club: a brand new swinburnefc.com, built so everything you need on a Sunday is in one place.
It also gives our partners more of the spotlight they deserve, with placements across the Match Centre, news and events.
Thank you, Thomas
The club thanks Thomas Burchsmith for four years as President. [A line or two on what the club achieved under his presidency.]
What’s next
First up, the Burners head to Football Madness at Watsonia Heights on Saturday 28 November. The club has also entered the 2027 Australia Cup, also known as the Dockerty Cup, with preliminary rounds from mid-February, so pre-season training starts early to have the squad ready. The season launch is on Saturday 3 April, with Round 1 on Sunday 11 April.
